Featuring The Regional Premiere of
A New Play by

Author of Academy Award Winner MYSTIC RIVER, the critically acclaimed GONE BABY GONE and the soon to be released SHUTTER ISLAND directed by Martin Scorsese

In a nameless bar somewhere in rural America, a young couple falls hopelessly in love, a psychiatric patient confronts her demons, and a father-and-son search for a missing woman -- and a stolen diamond. A searing depiction of the crimes we commit in the name of love.

A story at turns suspenseful, surreal, romantic, and tragically comic about what we're willing to do for love - sacrifice, murder, and, finally, redemption.

The show runs 1 hour 40 min with intermission and contains adult language and situations.

“A singular style that is both relentless and hopeful. Lehane's gifts for intricate plotting, unforgettable characters, and lyrical prose come together in a surprisingly different play."~CBS News

“A seductive new throwback of a play …full of double meaning and tapping into that unsettling place where the familiar turns eerie. Shady characters; sex and murder in the air - he shakes things up by throwing the rules of time out the window…The playwright doles it all out at an admirable speed, so that you're figuring the secrets out just about the time he's revealing them - not an easy trick.” ~The New York Times

“Dynamic action, detailed flashbacks and harrowing fantasy sequences. It's a knockout performance. An impressive step forward for a writer of commanding gifts.” ~Kirkus Reviews

“You'll savor this new glimpse into one of the most unpredictable minds in current American fiction.” ~Washington Post

“An auspicious stage debut reveals an instinctual gift for the theatrical and an ear for rich dialogue. He uses language in the manner of both Harold Pinter and Sam Shepard, … brings to mind the work of Tom Stoppard.” ~Backstage

"Lehane's script is tight and fast… amazing poetic imagery …The story is relentless and accelerates slowly to a perfect tempo.…”
~ Blog Critics

“Unpredictable plot twists and a surprise ending complete this compelling script. owerfully envisioned lives, recounted unflinchingly.” ~Publishers Weekly

“Lehane has a startling capacity for assessing broken people — i.e., who can be restored to the fold of humanity. B+” ~Entertainment Weekly

“The three-pronged structure of the play matches narrative surprises with Lehane’s ear for human speech — at once punchy, humorous, and gut-wrenching.” ~The Phoenix
